Project Description
Sensory ALL proudly partnered as an Inclusion Partner for International Purple Fest, Goa 2024 making it India’s first NeuroInclusive NeuroAccessible Festival.
This groundbreaking event celebrates neurodiversity and champions sensory inclusion across the nation. A suite of targeted NeuroAccess interventions designed to enhance the festival experience for all individuals specially ones with neurodiverse needs. The four key interventions were:
- Calming Room: A low-stimulation, well-lit space featuring a variety of sensory stimming activities and self-serve art experiences, offering a comfortable area to rest and recharge.
- Dark Room: An immersive environment with glow-in-the-dark art and a galaxy projection, designed to provide the extra sensory stimulation some individuals—especially those with ADHD—need to achieve calm.
- Sensory Kits: Curated packages equipped with essential sensory aids that empower individuals to self-regulate and fully engage with the dynamic festival atmosphere.
- Augmentative & Alternative Communication Boards: Every area and experience was thoughtfully translated into an AAC representation, with dedicated boards and signage available throughout the venue. This approach ensures that individuals facing speech and language challenges can navigate, interact, and express themselves with ease.
